Community Altar

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
— 1 Peter 5:7

Our outdoor prayer altar is open to everyone in the community at any time. You do not have to be a member of Fellowship Baptist Church to visit. Whether you are carrying a burden, praying for someone you love, seeking God’s direction, or simply need a quiet place to pray, you are welcome here.

The rocks at the foot of the cross represent objects of prayer—people, needs, burdens, and other matters that have been brought before God. The stones are not sacred and do not give prayer any special power; they simply serve as visible reminders of the people and needs for which we pray.

Please help us preserve the altar by not removing any of the rocks. Each one has meaning and represents a matter of prayer.

We hope this will always be a quiet and welcoming place where members of our church and community can pause, pray, and remember that every burden may be brought to the Lord.

You Are Welcome

Come as you are. Visit at any time. Stay as long as you need.

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
— Hebrews 4:16
